We created a parents’ compensation bonus of up to N20,000 which we give to parents to encourage them to keep their children in school which in turn stops parents from forced child labor. We provide an Economic Empowerment Program for local residents on the creek and help them earn income outside of oil and gas, fishing, and cutting wood.
We are planning to set up a Cassava farming system to economically empower the youths. This also helps to bring in more people to the riverine communities.
